At the construction site, high-rise construction requires the installation of construction elevators as a passage for raw material transportation and personnel entry and exit.

What is a construction elevator?

Construction elevators are also called construction hoists, outdoor elevators, cargo elevators, material hoists, and material lifters. They are passenger and cargo construction machinery frequently used in construction. Mainly used for the interior and exterior decoration of high-rise buildings, bridges, chimneys, and other buildings.

High-rise construction is dangerous. There are high safety risks in the use of construction elevators, which is a safety issue faced by construction companies. Before the elevator is put into use, safety protection must be done well. The construction elevator must be installed and used in accordance with regulations to avoid unnecessary accidents.

So how do we usually check the construction elevator?

1. Before it is put into use, it must undergo a fall test. A fall test is performed every 3 months during use. It should be carried out according to the instructions. When the cage falls more than 1.2m braking distance during the test, the cause should be found and the anti-fall device should be adjusted to ensure that the braking distance does not exceed 1.2m.

2. Inspection of the transmission mechanism: When the cage is fully loaded and descending, the braking distance shall not exceed 0.3m, and the thinnest part of the brake disc or brake block shall not be less than 5mm, otherwise it must be replaced.

3. Inspection of upper and lower limits: The upper limit should ensure that the upper safety distance left after the cage triggers the limit should not be less than 1.8m, and the lower limit ensures that the cage does not touch the bottom.

4. Limit switch: The overtravel distance between the upper limit and the upper limit switch is greater than or equal to 0.15m.

5. The inlet and outlet door limit, skylight door limit, wire rope break insurance, door wrench, and overweight limiter must all be guaranteed to work properly.

6. The motor, display, video monitor, sensor, floor calling system, etc. can all be used normally.
