The LSF308, LSF309, and LSF310 centrifugal safety locks are advanced fall protection devices specifically designed for suspended platforms, construction gondolas, and aerial access equipment. Utilizing a highly sensitive centrifugal locking mechanism, these safety locks automatically engage the safety wire rope when abnormal descending speed, hoist failure, wire rope breakage, or platform instability occurs. While various models exist—with or without mounting plates, single/double rollers, spring‑pad type, centrifugal type, etc.—they are all installed in the uprights at the upper ends of the platform’s side frames, directly above the rope entry into the hoist. Their primary function is to prevent serious incidents in the event of hoist rope failure, brake system malfunction, or excessive platform tilting beyond the critical angle.
